Production Team

Deacon Warner, Writer, Director and Producer

Deacon has been a teacher in the Minneapolis Public Schools for ten years. The last three years he has taught geography at North High School. He earned a BA in history from Dartmouth College in 1990 and an MA in geography from the University of Minnesota in 2003. As a filmmaker, Deacon independently produced the documentary short, 56, which won honorable mention at the Minnesota Historical Society's Greatest Generation Film Festival 2006.

Annie Sundberg, Executive Producer

Most recently, Annie served as director and producer of the documentary The Devil Came On Horseback, premiering at Sundance 2007. Annie also produced and directed The Trials of Darryl Hunt, which premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and will premiere on HBO in April 2007. She produced the dramatic feature Tully, nominated for four 2003 IFP Spirit Awards. Tully received Best Film at eleven festivals, including the Los Angeles Film Festival. Other production credits include In My Corner, (PBS / POV), and Academy Award and Emmy winning One Survivor Remembers, a co-production of HBO and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Wade Barry, Director of Photography

Wade, co-owner of Travel'n Light Films, has eighteen years experience in the media industry, with skills as director, producer, cameraman and writer. He has produced segments for HGTV, TLC and the Travel Channel. He also served as writer and director for Oh, Christmas Tree, a PBS documentary. Recently he co-produced/directed/wrote Pathways to Children, a Children's Home Society and Family Services' promotional video and co-wrote the feature screenplay Mo Mushi.

Michael Sutz, Editor

Michael has been making documentary films for over ten years. He creates professional and affordable videos for non-profits, schools, families and individuals. His work has been broadcast on public television and featured in film festivals across the country. Michael is a Chicago native, and currently travels between Minneapolis and New York where he works both shooting and teaching documentary filmmaking at The School of Visual Arts. Minnesota Projects include Venus of Mars, Security and the Constitution, Wellstone.

Dan Miller, Sound Engineer

Dan is the co-owner of Travel'n Light Films, a film production company especially developed to serve the mass media promotional needs of non-profits. Dan recently co-produced/directed/wrote Pathways to Children, a video for the Children's Home Society and Family Services, and The SKB Story, a fundraising video for an orphanage in India.
